The forecast already states the current temperature, but no, it is not “currently sunny” as it’s 10:23 pm.

The forecast by itself is perfectly understandable. It does not need a summary, an overview, an interpretation, a Reader’s Digest Condensed Version.

FFS, Google, is this what you’re building new data centres and buying billions of dollars worth of GPUs to do?

Ho dovuto disinstallare #Moshidon e tornare all'app #Mastodon per #Android ufficiale.

Circa mezz'ora fa Moshidon non riusciva più a collegarsi ai miei account. Son riuscito a farle vedere di nuovo @buba_and_nemo ma niente da fare con @thatgiga - o errore o crash.

Da un paio di giorni Moshidon crashava occasionalmente, immagino che il problema derivi dalle modifiche fatte a Mastodon che client terzi come Moshidon non hanno ancora recepito.
Peccato, mi ci son trovato bene, finché ha funzionato.

@ju ma su gnome non c'è Secrets? Tra l'altro è compatibile con keepass e puoi importare il database.

@ju il problema è questo: chi ti assicura che gli sviluppatori di un qualsiasi altro password manager non utilizzino l'AI?
almeno questi di KeepassXC sono stati trasparenti dicendo che la utilizzano solo per la review del codice e per la gestione delle pull request non per generare il codice.

Alternative?

Io più che altro lo uso per l'estensione che offre l'integrazione con Firefox (Librewolf nel mio caso), che è molto comoda perchè mantiene le password sul pc invece che su un cloud google.

Al momento sto usando Mate come ambiente grafico, quindi andrebbero bene cose Gnome.

L'immediata alternativa sarebbe Gnome Keyring, di cui non mi risulta esista un'integrazione affidabile col Browser e comunque non mi piace, avevo installato KeepassXC proprio per evitarlo.

Marito m'ha guardato malissimo quando gli ho detto: sai che c'è? Dobbiamo cambiare il gestore di password che ti sei appena abituato ad usare.

@ju questo rimedio lo conosco ma, al posto del sale, con l'alcool etilico denaturato (lo "spirito", quello rosa)

La versione più succinta è che non è servito a un cazzo.

Just got back home. I drove through the fog, not too bad in town, but the moment I left the city it turned into a wall of nothingness. I even struggled to find my front door, though I eventually made it inside. The key barely worked too, which is odd since it never gives me trouble.

I take off my jacket and I can't find my coat rack. Weird. Then I notice a stranger on my couch. Except that is not my couch. And this is not my living room. This guy has changed all the furniture in my house. How did he manage that in just a few hours?

Alright, terrible joke, I'll stop. Pretending I walked into the wrong house is peak dad joke...

Curtis Yarvin has flat-out said America would be better off with 200 million fewer people in it. It's not like they keep it secret. It's just that non-sociopaths think nobody could possibly take that seriously or base policy on it.

(It's not just immigrants. Anybody deemed less than 100% useful to the oligarchy is ranked as compost. But it's easy to *start* with immigrants.)

@tgeusch This is the uneasy feeling I had yesterday evening. I started writing the post this morning because I wanted to sleep on it. The original author did not write a bad or offensive post, and it reflects their experience so I respect that. Still, it feels more like a rant against a couple of people who behaved poorly or were unwilling to change FreeBSD because they believed there was a better way to do things.
Anyway, I am glad when people write these posts if they feel the need to. This way we get to see different points of view, and that helps all of us.

Happy to see the perennial brassicas / tree collards at my family's thriving so well! They're almost half as tall as I am!

These are a mix of the EFN's perennial kale grex and open-pollinated seeds from the "Michigan" strain from Project Tree Collard. They should be able to survive 0-10°F (-18°C to -12°C) and will hold well into winter. Growth usually resumes in February.

If you want winter greens, these are where it's at!

Dove sei come zona?
Io periferia di Roma, aria e acqua (di pozzo) salmastra.
Terreno argilla sotto e circa un metro di terriccio riportato. Vado forte con pomodori, insalate, melanzane e fagiolini d'estate mentre le zucchine crescono piante giganti ma niente frutti. Le zucche sono quelle di Cenerentola, mostruose. Le colture invernali ... mmmm non vado fortissima.

Una cosa, il mio orto è molto "SPETTINATO", l'unico anno che l'ho fatto ordinato non è uscito niente.
